In Walloon rural folklore, bonfires remain a practice that is deeply rooted in our traditions.<\/p>\n
They are the symbols of purification and the return of the light of spring.<\/p>\n
It is with unchanged fervour that the Walloons gather every year around the mound of branches and fir trees on fire.<\/p>\n
The party is in full swing until the final bouquet, the flight of the snowman in smoke, heralding the arrival of sunny days.<\/p>\n
The carnival Princes invite you to join them on a torchlight procession before arriving at the bonfire, which will take place in the Ev\u00eats car park.<\/p>\n
The meeting point is at Place du Bronze at 7 pm for the start of the walk.<\/p>\n
We will then cross the Place du Bronze and the pedestrian zone to the sound of music before heading together to the bonfire.<\/p>\n
7:30 pm: lighting of the bonfire by Prince carnival Hibou 1er.<\/p>\n
9 pm: concert – sausage rolls, Purnalet, rum and coke, beers,…<\/p>\n
