Exhibition of pastels, watercolours and drawings by artist Freddy Van Ranst
Freddy was born in 1946 in Bornem in the province of Antwerp. He has lived in Brisy in the Ardennes for 30 years, where he also has his studio.
From an early age, he loved drawing and painting. He studied drawing at the Academy of St Nicolas and learned painting in Tamise with Professor Patrick Harris.
Freddy was awarded the PRO ARTE gold and silver medals by the Kingdom of Belgium.
He explored all kinds of techniques: watercolour, pastel, drawing, freehand graphics and lithography.
The favourite subjects of his numerous paintings are landscapes and portraits.
Freddy has participated in numerous group exhibitions, mainly in Bornem, Hyères in France, and Gouvy.
His solo exhibitions include Hingene/Bornem, Antwerp and his studio in Brisy.
