Bonfire in Vecmont

In Walloon rural folklore, bonfires remain a practice that is deeply rooted in our traditions. They are the symbols of purification and the return of the light of spring.

It is with unchanged fervour that the Walloons gather every year around the mound of branches and fir trees on fire.

The party is in full swing until the final bouquet, the flight of the snowman in smoke, heralding the arrival of sunny days.
